Organization Description

HILL for Literacy was founded in 2001 to help underperforming schools improve literacy
outcomes, and has significant experience in working with schools and districts across a
diverse set of backgrounds. Since 2001, the organization has grown its customer base to
nearly 186 schools serving more than 60,000 students located primarily in CT, MA, RI, and VT.
In 2020, HILL for Literacy was selected by the Rhode Island Department of Education to provide professional development in evidence-based comprehensive literacy instruction and interventions throughout the state. Currently, the organization is working in 26 RI school districts. Through customized professional development combined with collaborative school-wide literacy planning, HILL for Literacy builds sustainable capacity in schools to teach all children to read at their full potential.
